TASK DETAILS 1 Effective Leadership [5M]

As a leader, I have learnt that the main job of a leader is to connect people and try to make things work. As an effective leader we are also human, we made mistakes, so it is necessary to take your team mate’s idea. I must take other’s consideration as reference as well. An efficient leader comes with a supportive team. At the beginning of the task and discussion, everyone are putting a full commitment in the video discussion, but as time goes, the passion had decrease, as a leader I have the responsibility to watch them complete the task and understanding of their thoughts and positions, so I had to push a little hard in order to get the progress going. In the meanwhile of supervising the work progress, a leader must put in the effort as well. You member are following your lead to complete the task ace the subject, so you must work at the front so that your member could trace of what to do and have the rough direction of where to go and what to do. As a result, the tasks are completed, although there was some misunderstanding about the task distribution. And remember to say thank you to every member once a task are completed because this is a group project. Being a leader dosen’t mean you are holding more power than the others. There is a famous quote says “great power comes great responsibilities”, but I think its incomplete, the condition should be “great leadership comes great power”. So combine them all, “great leadership comes great power, and great power comes great responsibilities”

Teamwork and good relationship [5M]

There are a lot of genius out there, and all of them are from different back ground and story. As an effective leader, you have to always understand your member’s thoughts and considerations. Me as a leader are responsible to put them all to work together, in a most harmony way possible. As I said we all come from different back ground, in order to maximize the teamwork, I need to identify each and every strengths of my teammates. Strength of my group member.

- Loi – more experienced in device and app manipulations, he is the technician in our group, responsible of video recording and uploading.

- Ameer – experienced in report writing and being interviewed before so he is more active and more socialize than others.

- Kimi – Shy in person but wiling to contribute in work and tasks, and very responsive in the group.

- Pravin – he is a form 6 graduated student, so his theory and information gathering skills are solid.

Knowing the abilities of my member makes me easier in distributing the job. Loi are normally assign with job such as download the video presentation and upload them, if there are problem with summation or files error we will refer to him for solution. Ameer knows how a formal interview works, so he was assigned with a video editing of our expert interview video. Kimi is shy when the camera is open, so I did not force him to talk much in group, but iom still surprised that he willing to stand up and ask the expert for opinion. And Pravin can provide large amount of info in a very short time, although some time he gets a little lost in the flow, but he will always text me for references. In a certain work, it requires more than 1 people to complete, so I will split us into a smaller group and finish the task accordingly. And that always works out because both of them are supervising each other and they could focus on completing a smaller range amount of information.
